Frequently asked questions
Does it convert animated WebP?
Yes — that is the whole point of this tool. Many converters silently keep only the first frame of an animated WebP; this one decodes every frame and reassembles them with the original per-frame delays, so the GIF plays at exactly the same speed.
Why turn a WebP into a GIF at all?
WebP animations do not paste or upload everywhere — many chat apps, forums, editors and CMSes still take GIFs only, and some show a WebP as a frozen first frame. A GIF plays and loops everywhere, unchanged since the 90s.
What about a still (non-animated) WebP?
