Twitch Clip to GIF Converter

Paste a Twitch clip link, trim the exact reaction with the handles, choose a size — and get an animated GIF for Discord and chat in seconds. Free, no sign‑up.

Works with clips.twitch.tv links and twitch.tv clip pages. The clip is only used to build your GIF and is deleted from our server within a couple of hours.

How to turn a Twitch clip into a GIF

Copy the clip link. On a clip page, copy the address bar URL, or use the clip’s Share button. Links from clips.twitch.tv and twitch.tv both work.
Paste it above and hit Fetch video. We pull the clip onto our server (a few seconds) and show it in a player right on this page.
Trim it. Drag the two blue handles to the exact reaction you want to loop, or hit now to grab the player’s current position. The section replays itself so you see exactly what the GIF will contain.
Create and download. We convert the section with a two-pass colour palette, optimize the file, and hand you a GIF you can drop into Discord, chat or social — free.

Frequently asked questions

Do clips, highlights and full VODs all work?

Clips and short highlights work best — that is what this converter is for. Full VODs and long highlights are refused past the 10-minute mark; make a clip of the moment on Twitch first, then paste the clip link.

Can I use the GIF as a Discord emote?

Yes — pick the Small size and keep the loop short (about a second). Discord animated emoji need to be under 256 KB, and a short, small GIF lands well under that.

Does it work with sub-only or unpublished clips?

No — only publicly viewable clips can be fetched. Subscriber-only and deleted clips are not accessible.

Is this Twitch clip to GIF converter free?

Yes — completely free, with no account and no daily limit for normal use. Each GIF carries a small Gickr badge in the corner. Gickr has been making GIFs since 2007.

How long can the GIF be?

Up to 10 seconds. GIFs are heavy files by nature, so a short, well-chosen loop looks better and loads far faster than a whole clip.
